Ann Cleator has worked in commercial real estate development for over 27 years, joining Read King as Vice President of Development in 2020.  In this role, Ann is responsible for managing our Development department by overseeing all development aspects of our multi-tenant shopping center projects. Her breadth of experience combined with her leadership skills and successful track record, make her an invaluable member of this team.

Upon moving to Texas in 2011, Ann served as Director of Development for Chuy’s Restaurants where she managed the development of 40 individual restaurants across the United States. She then held the position of Senior Development Manager with Weingarten Realty where she oversaw the development of a 600,000 square foot vertically integrated mixed-use project in Alexandria, Virginia.

Ann is a native Californian and for over 13 years she served as Vice President and Project Director for a San Diego based master-plan developer where she oversaw the development of over 800,000 square feet of grocery anchored community commercial centers, as well as power centers, office and R&D projects.

Ann graduated from California State University, Sonoma with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
